A key factor that sets Allspice apart is its unique curriculum. Students gain a strong skill-based foundation complemented by an understanding of the cultural and historical context of dishes. This holistic approach not only teaches recipes and techniques but also imparts the rationale and origin behind them, fostering a deeper appreciation of culinary arts.
Allspice prioritizes the quality of its faculty members, hiring master trainers and promoting continuous skill upgrades. The institute encourages instructors to broaden their portfolios, sending them to prestigious institutions, like Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, or bespoke classes with top chefs in Thailand.
State-of-the-art infrastructure and a focus on sustainability create a conducive learning environment. Allspice’s facilities boast cutting-edge equipment and a thriving edible garden, including hydroponic farming, to ensure students understand the cultivation of herbs, spices, and vegetables.
Scholarships play a crucial role in providing access to world-class education for passionate but needy students. Allspice works with charities to offer financial support and separately, also sponsors the World Gourmet Summit’s Lifetime Achievement and Baker of the Year awards.
To further enrich students’ learning experiences, Allspice offers various workshops, seminars, and internship opportunities. Through collaboration with other universities, such as SIM-University of Buffalo, students engage in real-life case studies and gain practical experience. By maintaining strong industry-academia partnerships, Allspice ensures its curriculum remains relevant and addresses industry requirements.
