The tie-up is expected to enhance convenience for taxi drivers while enhancing passengers' booking and paying experience, complementing the city's drive toward smart mobility.

The system will accommodate various cashless payment channels such as credit cards, UnionPay, AlipayHK, WeChat Pay HK, and Apple Pay, with additional options to follow. The solution is also capable of real-time processing and reconciliation, minimizing driver friction and offering passengers flexible, secure payment options.

Passengers are now able to book and settle payments directly within the JOIE app, skipping the process of handling cash and offline payments. AsiaPay's platform includes fraud prevention technologies and adheres to Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) standards, further enhancing user trust.
