CP AXTRA And Tencent Cloud Partner to Redefine Smart Retail

CP AXTRA, Thailand-headquartered operator of Asia's top wholesale and retail brands Makro and Lotus's, is accelerating its digitalization with a deep emphasis on artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance efficiency and redefine customer experiences. The move is supported by a strategic collaboration with Tencent Cloud, signed earlier this year in an MoU.

The partnership will implement Tencent Cloud's Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), big data solutions driven by AI, and Tencent Kubernetes Engine (TKE) across 2,600+ stores in Thailand, facilitating scalable digital innovation, agile IT infrastructure, and cost optimization. AI-powered tools will also improve inventory management and sales forecasting, developing a more responsive retail environment.

A highlight of the change is the introduction of CP AXTRA's Weixin or WeChat Mini Program, providing Chinese consumers in Asia with smooth access to Thai goods via their mobile phones, further boosting the company's cross-border e-commerce.
