US logistics colossus DHL has reaffirmed its strategic collaboration with the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) through an updated memorandum of understanding, further solidifying Malaysia's role as a premier logistics and supply chain hub in Southeast Asia.
The partnership unites all four DHL business units in Malaysia — DHL Express, DHL Supply Chain, DHL Global Forwarding, and DHL eCommerce — to collaborate with MIDA in building the country's logistics hub and attracting foreign investment.
The collaboration is a culmination of fruitful collaboration since 2023, which propelled investments in priority sectors like electronics, pharmaceuticals, aerospace, chemicals, and the digital economy in eight states of Malaysia.
Key Highlights-
"Malaysia's logistics industry has come a long way, and it is now the powerhouse of technology and innovation," added Sikh Shamsul Ibrahim Sikh Abdul Majid, CEO of MIDA. "Our strategic alliance with DHL is one that will fast-track Malaysia's path towards becoming the region's top smart logistics hub," he further elaborated.

The larger alliance also backs Malaysia's New Industrial Master Plan 2030, with a focus on sustainable growth and next-generation supply chain capabilities. Investments by DHL in warehouse expansions and logistics centers are aimed at luring multinational corporations and enabling supply chains that are resilient and technologically advanced, solidifying Malaysia's position as a strategic regional gateway and competitive investment hub.
