In the presence of the Indonesian Minister of Land Transportation, the general Administration of Customs, representatives from the Central Java Provincial Government, the Magelang County Government, and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, REPT BATTERO and Indonesia's Bakrie & Brothers Group have signed a Strategic Cooperation memorandum concerning commercial vehicle battery systems.
This agreement is designed to lead the way in the adoption and expansion of green energy within the Indonesian market. By the conclusion of 2025, both organizations intend to deploy power battery systems for more than 3000 electric buses and trucks.
PT REPT BATTERO INDONESIA, the manufacturing center for REPT BATTERO in Indonesia, is set to produce battery systems for commercial vehicles that adhere to the local content requirements (TKDN) of Indonesia following its completion. This project, which reflects the ethos of "Indonesian Born, Global Contribution," aims to strengthen the support for commercial vehicle clients and aid Indonesia in achieving its net-zero carbon emissions target by 2060 or potentially sooner.

PT VKTR Teknologi Mobilitas Tbk (VKTR), recognized as Indonesia's first commercial vehicle manufacturing facility, was developed and financed by the Bakrie & Brothers Group. VKTR specializes in electric buses, along with both lightweight and heavy-duty trucks, and is proficient in full-process manufacturing. Its expertise encompasses chassis assembly, battery integration, body welding, painting, final assembly, and thorough vehicle testing.
in the future, centered on the vision of "green transportation, made in Indonesia," the two companies will intensify their strategic collaboration across the industrial chain. Key areas of cooperation include, power cells, and systems.
