Malaysia's leading integrated telco, Maxis, has entered into a strategic partnership with Aduna, a global venture by major telecom operators and Ericsson, to accelerate the adoption of standardized network APIs and drive digital innovation across sectors in Malaysia.
The partnership, signed in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), will grant developers and enterprises easy access to Aduna's single API platform.
These robust APIs will increase security, minimize digital services time-to-market, and open up new use cases by leveraging Maxis' enhanced network capabilities.
Key Highlights:
“APIs are a vital component of the digital economy today, and Maxis is dedicated to harnessing them to unlock more value for enterprises. With this collaboration with Aduna, we can facilitate the creation of more secure, user-focused services underpinned by frictionless access to cutting-edge network APIs.” Said Prateek Pashine, Chief Enterprise Business Officer, Maxis.
Early API products will be Number Verification, SIM Swap, KYC Match, and Location Verification, essential features that will support digital fraud prevention and enhance web-based security for industries like financial services and e-commerce.

Anthony Bartolo, CEO of Aduna, commented, "This partnership will introduce our combined network APIs to one of Southeast Asia's most vibrant digital economies, making businesses in Malaysia benefit from having access to high-powered and scalable solutions."
In line with the GSMA Open Gateway framework and CAMARA Project, this step follows Maxis' previous endorsement of the Bridge Alliance API Exchange and cross-border telco API federation in Southeast Asia.
