The Malaysian Research Accelerator for Technology and Innovation (MRANTI) announced the launch of the Malaysia Technology Commercialization Platform (MATCH) on August 9, as part of a strategic move to strengthen the technology innovation ecosystem.
MATCH, according to MRANTI, is a technology innovation monetization platform that connects and offers win-win solutions to local technology providers and seekers in order to accelerate technology commercialization in Malaysia.
According to the statement, the site is expected to recruit 50 innovation seekers and providers in the first phase, with a successful matching rate of 10%.
MATCH allows researchers, investors, individuals, and experts at any stage of their technology development to search for an industry partner or funding, sandbox sites, or technical support and collaboration.
In addition to "match-making" services, the platform will function as a vibrant marketplace, with a list of projects aligned with specific and profitable use cases based on technology readiness level and technology categories.
"MATCH, like an e-commerce site, is for anyone and everyone in the innovation ecosystem."
"By bridging all interested individuals and organisations, we hope to have a tighter, more transparent, cohesive, and consistent view on the opportunities and gaps in commercialization of local technologies," said Dzuleira Abu Bakar, CEO of MRANTI.
