In a historical initiative to improve healthcare delivery, NHG Health and ST Engineering have signed a five-year Master Collaboration Agreement (MCA) to co-develop and deploy smart systems and engineering solutions throughout Central and North Singapore. The project will impact 1.5 million residents who are served by NHG Health.
One of the main areas of work will be the establishment of a next-generation C3 (Command, Control, and Communication) centre, expanding on what already exists as a C3 hub run with Synapxe. The centre now optimizes patient flows and resource management for Tan Tock Seng Hospital and the National Centre for Infectious Diseases. The enhanced centre will have predictive capabilities for enhanced efficiency and coordination of care.
Key Highlights-
"Technology is a facilitator of improved, quicker and more patient-friendly care. This partnership enables us to speed up innovation in real-life environments," stated Professor Philip Choo, Group CEO of NHG Health.

The MCA will also investigate manpower scheduling optimisation and workflow automation to facilitate timely, value-based care delivery. Two smart energy solutions for the sustainability arena will be tested: the Airbitat Energy Recovery System, which provides up to 30 percent energy savings, and the AGIL Smart Energy Building suite, which provides centralised carbon tracking and smart energy management.
A new Engineering Sandbox, will also be created for collaborative testbed for clinicians, engineers, and operations teams to co-create and pilot novel healthcare solutions.
"With the merging of engineering capabilities with healthcare understanding, we will redefine the provider and patient experience," said Vincent Chong, Group President & CEO, ST Engineering.
