Leading Indian communication company, Tata Communications has announced the integration of the TGN-IA2, a new submarine cable system into its global network. These innovations will assist the company in meeting the growing demands for low-latency digital infrastructure with high capacity across all its global channels.
TGN-IA2 is built by the Asia Direct Cable (ADC) consortium. The new integration’s cable system will be cooperating with Tata Communication's already established TGN-IA infrastructure. Through this network enhancement, the company is focusing on improving the connectivity from the Asia market to the global market, which includes the US, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India.
Executive Vice President and Next-Gen Connectivity Services and Chief Technology Officer at Tata Communications, Genius Wong said, “Asia’s digital economy is expanding rapidly, and the demand for scalable, high-performance infrastructure is higher than ever. This latest enhancement to our network fabric will further strengthen Tata Communications’ position as a global leader in smart, secure, and scalable connectivity and cross-border innovation”
Through this integration company will be gaining more flexibility, scalability, and provisioning speed, which will help to accelerate business operations by eliminating consortium partners. The new TGN-IA2 will enable the speed, security and stability in the financial services, e-commerce, logistics and technology functions of the company. This has laid the base for the emerging future digital service advancements.
Further Wong highlighted that the new technology will be extremely sleek in adapting to the constantly changing needs, supporting applications like AI, data center-to-data Centre connectivity and high-definition streaming.
Tata Communications has been operating in more than 190 countries and territories, serving 300 of the Fortune companies and connecting to 80 percent of the world’s cloud providers. Upgrade of such systems will ensure to increase the efficiency of the operations.
