Taiwan's DXaaS company TPIsoftware has signed a strategic collaboration with Ho-Team Construction Co., Ltd., a Vietnamese-based construction company owned by Taiwanese interests, to implement GreenSwift, an AI-driven carbon management platform. Signed on June 27 at Ho-Team Construction's headquarters in Đồng Nai, the deal is aimed at helping Vietnam move toward net zero emissions and actively get ready for Vietnam's carbon trading law, fully enforced in 2029.
Witnesses to the signing were officials from ESG Service Corporation Association, TÜV Rheinland Việt Nam, CSGT Metals Vietnam Joint Stock Company (CSMV), TAYA (Vietnam) Electric Wire & Cable Joint Stock Company, Yung Chi Paint & Varnish MFG (VN), TAISHIBA Electric, Taiwan Fluoro, and Pro-Chain International Ltd.
Key Highlights-
Ho-Team Construction, which has more than 600 industrial complexes and 240 large-scale projects in Vietnam and beyond, is moving early to synchronize with Vietnam's newly piloted emissions trading scheme. It began in June, with steel, cement, and thermal power sectors as the target, and compelling companies to buy emissions permits under a government decree, with implementation to take place by 2029.
"GHG emissions emanating from the building sector are still on the increase due to Vietnam's economic growth, reaching an estimated 148 million tons by 2050. Although net-zero goals have been achieved, efforts in high-emitting sectors like construction have been slow in coming. Being a major builder, it is our duty to set a good example in accelerating sustainable development," added Chien Chih Ming, Chairman of Ho-Team Construction.
