YAS and JOIE Launch AI-Powered Insurance for Hong Kong's Green Taxi Fleet

YAS the insurtech firm has teamed up with JOIE. JOIE is an next-generation fleet taxi operated by Tai Wo Management. This collaboration will be introducing AI-driven insurance for around 1,000 hybrid and electric taxis in Hong Kong. Through this system real-time driving behavior analysis can be obtained. The system also dynamically adjusts premium to reward for safer driving. This reduces the insurance costs.

Incentives received from this partnership will also encourage better road safety by supporting the green mobility goals of Hong Kong. The partnership has also stated that they will be working together to upgrade the electric vehicles by integrating smart, transparent AI powered insurance to driver performance. The EV’s will also have AI features which will assist the passengers in language translation and virtual assistance.
