Across South and Southeast Asia, manufacturing continues to expand rapidly across automotive, electronics, new energy and other industrial sectors. Yet for manufacturers, one challenge remains highly practical: when a quality problem occurs on the factory floor or somewhere in the supply chain, how can it be contained quickly, correctly and consistently?
This is the field in which ACCU has built its core expertise. Founded in 2004, ACCU began with third-party onsite quality control and defect containment. Today, the company has a global network of more than 2,000 employees and service partners, with entities and offices in more than 20 countries and service coverage extending to over 40 countries.
ACCU launched its Southeast Asian operations in 2008, making it one of the earlier specialized field quality service companies to establish a sustained presence in the region. Today, its South and Southeast Asian service network covers India, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines and Pakistan, giving ACCU one of the broadest geographic service coverage among field quality assurance providers in the region.
From Inspection to Execution Excellence
Traditional field quality assurance is often viewed as a relatively simple service: deploy inspectors, sort suspect products, identify defects and report results. ACCU believes this significantly underestimates what is required to deliver dependable quality outcomes.
“Quality assurance at the point of operation is ultimately about execution,” says Dr. David Chen, Founder and CEO of ACCU, who has led the company’s development from an onsite quality service provider into a globally operating quality organization. “A good quality requirement only creates value when it is correctly understood, consistently executed, objectively evidenced and continuously improved," he adds.
This philosophy is expressed in ACCU’s concept of Quality-by-Execution, or QbE. Rather than treating onsite quality service primarily as a manpower activity, ACCU treats it as a controlled operating discipline designed to make field execution dependable, measurable, traceable and continuously improvable. Quality-by-Execution is built around four systematic steps.
First, understand the quality requirement. Before execution begins, the team must accurately understand the product, customer requirements, defect modes, acceptance criteria and operational risks. The objective is to remove ambiguity before it reaches the point of execution.
Second, execute standardized operations. Quality requirements are translated into practical work instructions, inspection methods and operating procedures that frontline personnel can follow consistently. Training, supervision and operational discipline ensure that the defined method is actually executed in the field.
Third, provide digital evidence. ACCU increasingly digitalizes the execution process so that activities, findings and results are recorded at the point of operation. This creates traceability for customers and allows project performance to be evaluated using objective data rather than subjective impressions.
Fourth, learn and improve. Execution data, quality incidents and operational experience are systematically reviewed to identify gaps, prevent recurrence and improve subsequent delivery. Each project therefore becomes not only a service activity, but also a source of learning for the next one.
A Service Excellence Framework for Field Quality
To make Quality-by-Execution scalable across customers, projects and countries, ACCU has developed the ACCU Service Excellence Framework. It establishes a common management architecture for how field quality services should be prepared, delivered, supervised, measured and continuously improved.
Supporting the framework is ASEI, the ACCU Service Excellence Index, which provides a structured approach to measuring service execution across projects. Rather than evaluating a project simply by whether sorting or inspection was completed, ACCU measures the quality and consistency of the execution itself.
This combination of standardized operations, measurable performance and digital traceability is especially valuable for multinational manufacturers operating across multiple plants and countries. Instead of dealing with different service practices in different locations, customers can work with a quality partner applying a consistent execution standard across their manufacturing footprint.

Local Response, Global Discipline
ACCU’s regional network is therefore more than geographic coverage. Its objective is to combine rapid local response with a consistent global operating standard.
When a quality issue occurs, speed matters - but speed alone is not sufficient. The response must also be technically correct, operationally controlled, measurable and transparent to the customer.
ACCU’s regional customer portfolio spans some of the most prominent manufacturing ecosystems in South and Southeast Asia. In automotive and new energy, the company has supported manufacturers including Tata, Isuzu, VinFast, Volvo, BYD, Geely and CATL. In electronics, ACCU works across a broad part of Apple’s Asian manufacturing supply chain, as well as with major global manufacturers such as Samsung, LG and Foxconn. Few field quality service providers in the region combine this breadth of customer exposure with comparable multi-country execution coverage.
Technology will continue to strengthen this operating model. ACCU is progressively applying digital tools, accumulated defect knowledge and emerging AI capabilities to help frontline teams understand requirements faster, prepare better work instructions and improve execution. But the objective remains practical: to make quality execution more reliable.
“For us, the future of field quality assurance is not simply more inspection,” says Dr. Chen. “It is about making every quality requirement executable, every execution traceable and every project capable of learning and improving.”
Through Quality-by-Execution, the ACCU Service Excellence Framework and ASEI, ACCU is seeking to set a new benchmark for field quality assurance - transforming a traditionally manpower-intensive service into a professional, standardized, measurable and continuously improving execution discipline.
