The exhibition stand industry is a booming sector, particularly in the UAE. However, despite the growth and stability of this market, there are challenges faced by companies in this industry. One of the major challenges is the bureaucratic and outdated procurement processes employed by many governmental entities, which can cause delays and increase costs.

Payment morality is also an issue, with many clients paying only after 90-120 days after a job is completed, making it difficult for companies to manage cash flow. Furthermore, clients often do not plan ahead, leading to higher prices and inferior outcomes. Despite these challenges, Multilem, a leading company in the field of designing and manufacturing unique exhibition stands, has been successful in empowering this sector.

Multilem has been able to establish itself as a leader in the industry by delivering unique high-quality stands and experiences, and by providing customized solutions that meet the needs of its clients. The firm has demonstrated its commitment to innovation and continuous improvement, which has led to the creation of cutting-edge stands designed to improve efficiency and productivity.

Multilem has furthermore positioned itself as a global partner that can serve its clients anywhere in the world. “The relationship we have with our clients is our priority, we bond when we travel the globe with them, and we want to keep enjoying what we do. Being on the market since 1986 has enabled us to create strong partnerships around the globe that enable us to position ourselves this way”, speaks Dorothee Anjos, General Manager, Multilem Middle East.

The Inception Idea

In 1986, Multilem originated as a Portuguese company and has since expanded its presence globally with Multilem Portugal, Multilem Angola, Multilem UAE, Multilem Espana, Multilem KSA, Multilem UK, and Multilem USA, Multilem works with the objective of helping clients establish meaningful connections with their audiences by delivering comprehensive brand experiences regardless of location and time.

Multilem specializes in the strategic, creative, and production aspects of clients' projects, enabling them to deliver exceptional results and bring experiences to life. The firm’s areas of expertise include stands, events, architecture, brand identity, offices, brand activation, showrooms, and more.

Key to Success

Multilem thrives on a team of experts who are dedicated to understanding the unique needs of clients and providing customized solutions to meet those needs. “Our project managers are filled with passion and common sense. Making the right decision at the right time, being extremely creative and resourceful when things don't go as planned, being resilient, and having the ability to never keep the final aim out of sight is what qualifies us”, says Dorothee Anjos. Dorothee says, “We generally move the world to make things happen. Their mission becomes our mission.

When we fail to provide them with what our clients need (even if not our scope of work), we suffer”. She further adds, “One such example could be the Blue Pavilion we created in 2 weeks for 4 Saudi clients. We made a site visit the same day, found an owner of a run-down restaurant, negotiated with him to take his restaurant over, and transformed it into a beautiful Saudi Lounge that offered all authentic Saudi services in Portugal in less than two weeks. The fact that we have more than 17 nationalities and that we speak 11 languages fluently is a big success factor - when you need to negotiate with a simple man for whom the restaurant is his life, you need to touch his heart for him to believe.”

  • With its 30 years of expertise In business, the firm has a Reputation for being the ideal Global partner – anytime & Anywhere providing unique High-quality stands & Corporate events

Future Plans of Multilem

For the future, Multilem is committed to continuous innovation and improvement. The team is constantly researching and developing new technologies and products to improve its offerings and stay ahead of the competition. “We can’t really add more to our services because we already are a 360-agency doing anything for our clients. However, we want to improve certain existing services such as our technology department and want to be able to offer more innovative, interactive, and engaging experiences than the ones we have so far. Most important we want to continue the journey we have started – being successful whilst enjoying what we do”, concludes Dorothee.
