The Asian Development Bank (ADB) announced the appointment today of Yevgeniy Zhukov as its new Director General of its Climate Change and Sustainable Development Department (CCSD). As Director General, Mr. Zhukov will oversee ADB's climate change, environment, gender, and other thematic work, while spearheading partnerships to facilitate effective development programs across Asia and the Pacific.

I am proud to take up this responsibility and will do my best to continue to advance ADB's strong history in these areas of priority.” declared Mr. Zhukov.
Key Highlights:
Mr. Zhukov has over 30 years of experience, most of which have been at ADB. He has served as Director General of ADB's Central and West Asia Department, since 2021 and was formerly the Secretary of the bank. His experience also includes some important leadership positions in ADB's Strategy, Policy, and Partnerships Department, Budget, People, and Management Systems Department, South Asia Department, and Pacific Department.

A Kazakhstani, Zhukov graduated with a Master's in Economics from Claremont Graduate University (USA) and a University Diploma with Distinction in Political Economy from Kazakh National University.
