South Korean pizza chain GoPizza is poised to make a foray into the Malaysian market following a master franchise partnership with Hextar Group.
The five-minute quick-casual brand whose pizzas are shaped like ovals and served individually aims to open its maiden outlet in Klang Valley around late Q3 or early Q4 of 2025.
The venture signals GoPizza's further push in Asia, where it already has over 1,200 stores in South Korea, India, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, and Japan.
Its secret to success is its GOVEN oven technology and standardized quick-service format for consistency and speed, which resonates with time-starved city consumers.
"Hextar Group will be a solid and reliable partner in bringing GoPizza to Malaysia, and we are eager to see what we can create together," said Jay Lim, Founder and CEO of GoPizza.
Key Highlights:
Hextar, who has already established itself in Malaysia by ushering in brands such as Luckin Coffee, will lead the rollout and localisation strategy.

This acquisition puts Malaysia front and center in GoPizza's Southeast Asia expansion plan.
The alliance should combine GoPizza's lean operating model with Hextar's in-depth knowledge of the local market situation, setting the stage for long-term scalability and brand connectivity in the region.
