The New York-based, artificial intelligence manufacturing leader Nvidia revealed its latest technologies in Taiwan. On May 19, Chief Executive Jensen Huang unveiled the new tech supply chain of Nvidia in Taiwan’s Computex. This is also known as Asia’s biggest electronic forum. Jensen highlighted that the new launch would be vital in cementing ties with the regional tech supply chain.
Jensen Huang said, “When new markets have to be created starting here, at the center of the computer ecosystem,” regarding the island's vast support for innovative technologies.
Huang also introduced updates around the ecosystem of the company's latest accelerator chips. This will play a pivotal role in the development and innovation of AI software. Through this innovation, Nvidia is expecting to expand AI usage in more minor and small-scale industries. The company’s new generation GB300 systems for AI workloads will be coming in the third quarter of this year.
The NVLink Fusion products from the company will now allow its customers to pair their central processing unit to their own Nvidia AI chips or with any other third-party AI accelerators. This new design will give more flexibility and competition for its users, due to its high-speed linking between processors and accelerators.
Huang stated that companies like MediaTek, Marvell Technology and Alchip Technologies will be creating their custom AI chips that can work with Nvidia processor-based gear. Further, Fujitsu and Qualcomm will be making custom processors that will be working with Nvidia accelerators in computers.
