Samsung Electronics has unveiled ambitious plans to expand artificial intelligence (AI) across nearly all areas of its business by 2030.
Speaking at a press conference during IFA 2025 in Berlin, Roh Tae-moon, acting head of the Device Experience (DX) division, said the company aims to apply AI in over 90 percent of its workflows. Importantly, he emphasized that AI will serve as a support tool for employees, enhancing productivity and efficiency, rather than replacing the human workforce. The DX division, which oversees Samsung’s vast portfolio including TVs, refrigerators, washers, and other home appliances, will be central to this AI expansion.
Key Highlights
Samsung intends to introduce more personalized AI functions across home electronics, taking user experience beyond current smart features. These advancements are expected to allow devices to learn user habits, preferences, and routines, thereby offering tailored assistance.
Roh also revealed that Samsung plans to embed AI capabilities into more than 400 million Galaxy devices by the end of 2025. This step underlines the company’s vision of creating a seamlessly connected AI-powered ecosystem spanning smartphones, wearables, and home appliances.
