Singapore Strengthens AI Capabilities with Kyndryl's ASEAN AI Innovation Lab

• Kyndryl to launch ASEAN AI innovation lab in Singapore, which will offer advanced security operations across Southeast Asia
• This project is being executed by collaborating with Google Cloud, Digital Industry Singapore and local technicians
• ASEAN AI will be assisting customers with complex and day-to-day business problems

Singapore will be the next AI innovation hub in Asia, as multinational technology company Kyndryl has announced the launch of the ASEAN AI Innovation Lab in Singapore.

This lab will be offering advanced security operations across Southeast Asia.

Kyndryl is working with Google Cloud and Digital Industry Singapore (DISG) to accelerate AI transmission in Singapore's IT sector. Through this collaboration, Google Cloud is providing access to Vertex AI, BigQuery, Agent Development Kit, and Google Agentspace to facilitate business growth by developing AI solutions. The AI Cloud Takeoff program will be conducted by DISG’s Enterprise Compute Initiative (ECI).

Managing Director of Google Cloud-Southeast Asia, Mark Micallef said, “Our partnership with Kyndryl brings together deep consultancy expertise and interoperable data-to-AI capabilities to help organizations unlock tangible and measurable ROI from deployments of enterprise-grade AI with cutting-edge security capabilities.”

This lab will be effectively functioning by merging technologies, software, and AI capabilities with platform engineering solutions made by Kyndryl Consult. Kyndryl Vital will be assisting customers in solving complex and day-to-day business challenges, with its design-led thinking. Through this lab, citizens can easily access AI to build reusable assets and services. This project will be supporting the local specialist, as Kyndryl has reported that approximately 50 local AI specialists will be included in the project. This group of specialists will include data scientists, data engineers and AI developers. These local powers will help the company in reducing its carbon footprint and computing costs, making the project an energy-efficient and cost-effective solution in the region.
