Digital Workforce Readiness in 2025
As digital transformation accelerates, organizations are investing in building digital workforce readiness in 2025 through in-house academies, AI-driven training, and agile learning ecosystems.
A McKinsey report shows that 68 percent of enterprises in Asia have launched structured internal training programs since 2023, aiming to close critical gaps in data literacy, cybersecurity, and cloud computing.
Linda Jingfang Cai, a global learning strategist and former VP of Talent Development at LinkedIn, observes: “Over 80 percent [of CEOs] recognize [upskilling] as crucial for their organization's success. Yet more than 75 percent are dissatisfied with their current outcomes.”
This mismatch between intent and impact highlights why Asian companies are shifting from ad-hoc learning to embedded continuous digital capability building. Rakuten’s digital capability framework, Tencent’s internal university, and Shopee’s AI upskilling modules are real-world examples of how talent transformation trends in Asia 2025 are turning digital readiness into a foundational competency.
