Tata Tech and Emerson Join Forces for Smart Automotive Future

Emerson and Tata Technologies have signed a strategic collaboration to create comprehensive testing and validation solutions for international OEMs in the automotive, aerospace, and commercial vehicle industries. The strategic partnership was announced on July 9, 2025, and pairs Emerson's software-integrated testing expertise with Tata Technologies' international engineering services to respond to the escalating complexity of software-defined, connected, electric, and autonomous vehicles.

Early pilot engagement highlights the collaboration's value. For Uber, for example, an EV powertrain test rig for a European luxury OEM took just five months to complete—67% quicker than usual. A second pilot with a European brand resulted in the creation of a fully automated validation setup for a next-generation infotainment display, running 30,000 test scenarios.

Pilot programmes are being implemented in India, Europe, and North America, and joint development and customer interaction on a larger scale are planned, the companies assured.
