Turkish Airlines and Latvia's flag carrier airline airBaltic have agreed to expand their current codeshare partnership, launched initially in 2023, to offer more travel options and better connectivity between their networks. The expanded cooperation will enable travelers to book flights between Türkiye, the Baltics, Northern Europe, and Central Asia with ease, while also stimulating tourism and trade among these regions.
Under the new agreement, Turkish Airlines will put its code on airBaltic services from Riga to Turku, Riga to Tampere in Finland, and Riga to Palanga in Lithuania, expanding its presence in Northern Europe. In turn, airBaltic will put its code on Turkish Airlines services from Istanbul to Tbilisi and Batumi in Georgia, Ashgabat in Turkmenistan, Baku in Azerbaijan, Dushanbe in Tajikistan, and Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan, pending regulatory approvals.
