Drones and robotics are a growing industry, and the UAE has taken a leadership role in progressively positioning itself in government departments and public facilities.
Furthermore, flying taxis and driverless vehicles will be used to shift its urban infrastructure into smart cities, where future technology like drones, machines, robotics, and AI will play a crucial role. The Dubai government declared in 2023 that it wants the robotics industry to account for 9% of Dubai's GDP by 2032. The goal of the emirate is to make robotics a Dh35 billion ($ 9.5 billion) sector. In order to boost production and efficiency across a range of industries, including services, logistics, and the industrial sector, and to make Dubai's economy more competitive, 200,000 robots will be supplied over the course of the next ten years, until 2032, as part of the Dubai Robotics and Automation (R & A ) Program. More than 20 billion robots will be served to 10 billion human beings by 2050, with lifestyles, labour markets, and societies being reshaped, it was told to delegates at the World Government Summit in February this year by Mohammad Abdullah AI Gergawi, UAE Minister of Cabinet Affairs.
AI Gergawi said, " The world's population has grown to 8.2 billion today, and the global economy has expanded from $ 34 trillion to $ 115 trillion by 2024. International trade surged from $ 7 trillion to $ 33 trillion over the same period". He highlighted the rapid growth of digital connectivity, with internet usage soaring from less than 7 per cent of the global population in 2000 to over 60 per cent today. " In 2050, over 20 billion robots will assist humans, and the space economy is expected to reach $ 4 trillion," he said.
