Gilson Manuel initially founded it as an exhibition design company which gradually evolved into a complete event management and organizing company. He is also the author of Living to 100, a recently published book that captures his approach to discipline, balance, and purposeful growth. Strokes is now expanding its role from managing exhibitions to organizing them. The company’s first step in this direction is Global Finexpo Dubai, a two-day event that brings together banking, finance, investment, and Fintech under one roof.
The event serves as a bridge between capital, innovation, and growth. With more than 150 exhibitors, 500 delegates, and 5,000 visitors expected, Global Finexpo will attract investors, innovators, and financial leaders from across the world. Along with the Finance Excellence Awards, recognizing achievements in banking, Fintech, and sustainable finance, it also features two specialized areas, namely the Fintech Foundry for startups and the Capital Circle for investors.

The initiative also reflects Dubai’s growing position as a global financial hub. As Gilson notes, this move into organizing is a natural step in Strokes’ journey to create stronger networks and opportunities for its clients.
Expanding the Canvas of Creativity
Looking ahead, Strokes plans to develop a series of boutique exhibitions that focuses on value and select participation. Among the projects are a Luxury Property Show, featuring high-end real estate, and a Luxury Brands Expo, celebrating global and regional design houses. Both events will be organized under World Connect, the company’s sister concern leading its future ventures.
