The global image consulting market size is expected to reach $6.29 billion by 2030, growing at a CAGR of 7 percent according to Coherent Market Insights. Changing lifestyle patterns across the world and the confluence of cultures in developed and developing countries have given this industry a whole new perspective. Today, the impression created through personality is intricately related to the style of outfit they choose to put on. However, when it comes to maintaining image and style, several aspects are at play.
Most consultants suggest only the choices of clothes that look best on the client and do not provide a detailed plan for image transformation. Secondly, an outfit should always reflect the personality and profession of the person, coupled with the right softskills, otherwise the personality remains incomplete.
Kanan Naheta and Neetu Mann concentrated on these pain points when they set foot in the image & style consulting market. Going by the business name of Stylesquo, the company ensures that clients’ clothing is appropriate to the respective occasion and takes care of the fact that their social behaviour is also up to the mark, taking an educative approach towards the learning of soft skills and life skills.
Through the unique combination of these services, the dynamic duo brings out the best version of their clients. “In today’s world, women are more empowered and have to perform many roles in life. They are very busy and do not have to time to decide the kind of clothing would suit them the best. We make their lives easier by making it happen. With our help, they can communicate through their choices in outfits and make a mark socially”, mentions Kanan Naheta, Co-Founder, Stylesquo.
Thinking Out of the Box
In order to shed light on the uniqueness of the company, we need to know how two independent women from different backgrounds combined their expertise to create an array of services that cover all the aspects related to the image and style of an individual.
Kanan had moved to Dubai very early in life after working under a reputed designer in India for a short while.
There, she was exposed to more sophisticated lifestyles and globally renowned brands and realized her deep interest in combining the styles of different cultures and creating a complete outfit that stands out in the crowd. At the same time, she also observed the fact that styling follows trends and people are following that blindly without being completely aware of the outcome. Hence, she wanted to bring out the aspect of individual integrity. Through the company, she puts time and effort into understanding the social and professional standing of a client before offering the best possible choices in style. She is an award winning student of the fashion diploma from SNDT’s Polytechnic.
“My husband is into the jewellery business and that gave me the opportunity to combine Western clothing with Indian jewellery collections. These outfits combined the best of both worlds and were very much appreciated socially. One of my projects with Actress Megan Pormer, which involved her shoot in the Cosmopolitan magazine, went on to the billboard at Timesquare in Dubai”, she says.
Neetu Mann started her career in aviation very early in life and was exposed to a complete range of soft skills and life skills along with constant communication with passengers within a flight. She got into training in the aviation industry itself and discovered the lack of proper soft skills in employees. Although there were institutes that were providing training in aviation, they were taking much longer than required. This is the moment that inspired her to move to entrepreneurship and provide the required soft skills and life skills training not only to the aviation sector but to other corporate clients as well. “Kanan has the needed sense of art and creativity and I am experienced in training people to become more confident. Together, we create a combination that is unmatchable in the industry”, she states.
Kanan's artistic sense and creativity, combined with Neetu's experience in training people to build confidence, create an unmatched combination in the industry
The Road Ahead
The company has successfully provided bespoke image & style solutions and services to many esteemed clients, and plans on keeping up the good work in the days to come. It is positive about the emergence of AI technologies into the business landscape and believes it will be a game changer for service providers. “We are in the process of developing an AI application that will be able to provide style choices to clients on the input of some basic information like body shape, colour, personality, and professional standing. Beta testing for the application is done and we plan on getting it out into the market soon”, concludes Neetu.
